By scanning the barcode of a product with the ScanUp app, various indicators from official and scientific classifications allow you to assess its impact on your health and the environment:

• Nutri-Score: It evaluates the nutritional values of the product. The higher the fat, salt, or sugar content, the less favorable the score.
• Transformation level based on the Goûm reference: It assesses the quality of ingredients in the product's composition. It helps identify ultra-processed foods.
• Eco-Score: It evaluates the product's environmental impact.

The app also displays detailed nutritional values per 100g, the number of additives and ultra-processed ingredients, the product composition, and any labels.

• The Nutri-Score was officialized by Santé Publique France to make nutritional qualities of food products more transparent.
• The Goûm reference was established by an independent scientific committee to identify the level of transformation of products.
• The Eco-Score is an experimental score based on Life Cycle Assessment from ADEME's public database Agribalyse.

The calculation methodologies for these scores are open-source.
